What are American Kennel Club Registration options?
AKC Limited Registration – This is a companion pet only. The pup must be neutered/spayed at/around one year of age. You can not breed or show this dog. Any litters born will not be registered. There is an increasing body of evidence shows that premature (less then a year old) neutering (including spaying) a male and female dogs can have adverse health effects such as an increased risk of certain joint disorders (hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and cranial cruciate ligament rupture) and cancer (lymphoma, mast cell tumor, hemangiosarcoma, and osteosarcoma). However, this risk varies depending on the breed, age at neuter, and sex of the dog. Documentation from your veterinarian will need to be emailed to the seller for this guarantee to remain in effect.
AKC Full Registration – This option allows you to show your dog and you are given full breeding rights. AKC full registration sales allows buyer to exhibit dog and given full breeding rights. buyer will be responsible for exceptional breeding practices, including and not limited to veterinary care, ensuring all appropriate health testing, care and preventatives are up to date, providing adequate housing for a growing puppy, training, and providing future buyers with a health guarantee for puppies produced from said dog.

Why are French Bulldogs or English Bulldogs cost so much?
One of our top priorities is being able to produce healthy long lived family pets. Health testing is an important component of being a responsible breeder. Even though, with generations of health testing, things can simply just happen, just like us. This is why we are the only family raised in-home breeder that can offer a three year health guarantee.. We love what we do and will back our dogs with our contract & guarantee. Our dogs are registered with American Kennel Club (AKC) and health tested for several genetic disorders and diseases, OFA certified, evaluated for K9 herpes, Brucellosis, Heartworm screening, Cardiac Evaluation, *Hip and Elbow evaluations, Patella Luxation screening, annual breeding soundness examinations, and the list goes on…. (*testing varies per dog, visit the dog’s page for more details)
We have thousands of dollars invested in the health, maintenance and care for each and everyone of our dogs. We pride ourselves in knowing that we have created generations of pure bred “Truly Healthy” French Bulldogs & English Bulldogs.
If you are looking for a “bargain price” or a “deal”, this is not the breed that you should be looking into. In order to breed a HIGH QUALITY and HEALTHY Bulldogs, it is NOT CHEAP. There’s a great deal of time, tears, effort, and expense involved in raising a litter. Bullies require assistance to breed; artificial insemination or surgical insemination is needed to breed, and a c -section for delivery of the puppies.
The average cost for us to breed a litter can run well into the thousands; This does not include any cost estimates for the care of the litter, the mother, puppy vaccinations, dewormings, puppy examinations, micro-chipping, heartworm prevention, Health certifications, veterinary exams, and if any emergency care is needed, for example:
- Progesterone testing, plus STAT (same day results) fee’s $105-$125 – Testing repeated every other day until ovulation
- Breeding soundness Exam $69 -$98
- Fecal Screening $25-$35 per puppy & dog
- Vaginal Cytology $45-$65
- AI (artificial insemination) $250-$350
- TCI (Trans-cervical Insemination) $400-$500
- SI (surgical insemination) $450-$650
- Stud fee $1000-$5000
- Semen Cyrobank Storage Fee $350-$450
- Shipping costs for semen extraction $200-$400
- Semen Morphology, Motility, Count Testing $95-$150
- X-ray $95-$125
- Ultrasound $125-$250
- CBC/Chemistry Blood Profile $95-$150
- Cesarean section (assuming it is during normal hours and that there are no complications during surgery) $1500.-$3500
- Supplementation and Diet $400-$600
- Genetic Disorder testing & OFA Registration $95-$125 per disorder submission
- Hip and Elbow Evaluations & Xrays $250-350
- Tracheal Hypoplasia Evaluation & Xrays $150-$250

- Cardiac Evaluation $150-$250
When a litter is born the puppies must be fed every 2 hours around the clock for the first three weeks. Then every 3-4 hours after 3 weeks of age. They are watched and monitored 24 hours a day. English & French Bulldogs are not like other dogs; they do not realize that any slight movement could crush the baby. It is very easy for them to injure or roll over on the baby and not even realize it. So to insure this does not occur, we sit and help with feedings and cleaning with the moms at all times.
Litters are human assisted for several weeks around the clock with the mother; this is to ensure puppies have nice full tummies and are getting all the vitamins and minerals that are needed for the growth of a healthy puppy, and this also alleviates the stress on the mom, as she can just relax and just lay there, while she watch’s me take care of her babies. C-section for Bulldogs & French Bulldogs are a requirement for several reasons like: high rates of water puppies which can’t pass through the birth canal, large head and shoulders of the puppies, stress, heat factors and the inability to “push” out a full litter is often too much on a Bulldog.
We love what we do and will continue to strive to create a healthier bully!
